I have a love hate relationship with exercise. If I am in the groove, there is nothing that can stop me from exercising daily. The flip side, is if I am not in the groove, I have lots of carb cravings and dusty exercise gear. Fall and winter is a traditional time for me to slack off but I have made a little vow with myself this year to try and keep it up through the winter months. I enjoy cycling and running, two things not conducive to a long New England winter. On the upside, I have discovered a new love to add to the mix, trail running. Alas, another sport that goes away with the snow but we have been lucky in our weather and making most of our days outside.
My husband and I took a run together Friday afternoon. After a lot of pain we were able to take a few minutes and enjoy the reward of trail running. Beautiful view, no?
